Follicle-Stimulating Hormone (FSH) is a glycoprotein hormone secreted by the anterior pituitary gland, crucial for reproductive processes. In females, it stimulates ovarian follicle growth and estrogen production, while in males, it promotes sperm development.

FSH levels are tested to diagnose infertility, menstrual irregularities, menopause, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), pituitary gland disorders, gonadal disorders, and issues with puberty timing.
